Nevada Revised Statute 618.375(1):  The employer did not furnish
employment and a place of
employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or
likely to cause death
or serious physical harm to employees:
The employer failed to ensure that proper seating was provided for
employees riding in utility
vehicle, as follows;
a.  At the Concord Golf Course, employees were transported from the
maintenance shop
to their work station in the cargo area of a ProGator Utility Vehicle.
Seating is provided
for operator and one passenger.  No riders are allowed in cargo box or
anywhere else
on vehicle.

Seating is provided for operator and one passenger.  No riders are allowed
in cargo box
or anywhere else on vehicle.  Riders on vehicle are subject to injury such
as being struck
by foreign objects or being thrown off of the vehicle and severely injured
or killed.
One feasible means of abatement is to make sure the operator follows the
manufacturer's
operation manual.
