Nevada Revised Statute 618.375(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: The employer failed to ensure that the required personal fall protection equipment was worn as follows: a.Sands Convention Center, outside yard by the door "D", one employee was operating the Grove aerial lift without wearing a full body harness and lanyard attached to the lift. Reference: ANSI A92.5-1992, paragraph 8.8(g), The aerial platform shall be used in accordance with this standard. "The operator shall ensure that all personnel in the platform are wearing fall protection devices and other safety gear as required at all times." One feasible and acceptable abatement method is to make sure that every employee assigned to work from the aerial is trained to recognize hazards associated with the aerial lifts.
