Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970.  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards
that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that:
a) Prizm Interior Systems, Inc., 543 Hannah, Forest Park, Illinois -
employees were exposed
to a fall hazard of approximately 16 feet where the employees were
elevated from a JLG
boom-supported elevating work platform while installing soffit.  The
employees were not
wearing a fall restraint or fall arrest system.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct the
hazard is provide
the employees with a fall restraint belt to comply with American National
Standards Institute
A92.5-1992 Section 8.8, which requires all personnel in the platform to
wear fall protection
devices and other safety gear as required at all times.
