employees were exposed to an 8ft. fall hazard from the top of the hot
water rinse tank.
(b)At U. S. Steel Fairfield Works - Pickle Line Pinch Roll #5 - On or
about 08/03/02,
employees were exposed to the hazard of being caught between the 6"
diameter pinch
rolls.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method would be to not
allow employees
to stand on the top of the rise tanks, but provide employees with a
platform to stand on
while assisting with the top or to use a hand tool to assist in guiding
the top in place while
standing on the platform.
