Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to hot water and steam: a/ Kitchen - Two(2) Steam Tables/Three(3) Trays Each: Means were not provided to drain hot water from the steam tables after the food warming operation was completed. Observed 4/26/02. One feasible method, among others to correct the condition, is to have the hot water flow through a closed piping system, directly into the floor drain.
