Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:10/31/01 Condition:Roof trusses were braced using only a single 2" by 4" "spacer" board, approximately 26" in length, placed between trusses. Among others, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to install bracing in accordance with Truss Plate Institute's H1B-91 Summary Sheet, or follow the manufacturers recommendations for bracing roof trusses. Abatement documentation (photographs, receipts, copies of programs, training certification, etc.) is required for this item.
