Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:01/04/02 Location:Silk Screen Room Condition:A polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipe was used to transport compressed air into the silk screen printing machines at 150 p.s.i. Among others, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to replace PVC pipe and fittings with steel pipe and fittings approved for this purpose.
