North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a) facility -- load tests had not been performed on the four monorail cranes, and load test certificates were not available. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to have the cranes load tested and make the load test certificates available.

Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to determine the rated load and mark the rated load on each side of the monorails.

Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to conduct monthly inspections of the cranes and maintain inspection records.
