North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a)jobsite, furnace operation: the load of material undergoing the heat treating process was identified as being too densely packed to allow the quenching oil to safely cool the load, exposing employee to a fire hazard.
