Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fall hazards from an elevated personnel platform: a)Strong Framing, Inc. at 191 S. McCaslin in Louisville, CO: On or before 08/06/02, the employer did not ensure that a rough terrain, Skytrak 9038 Turbo, fork-lift with an employee occupied working platform was attended by the operator. This condition exposed employees to a fall from elevation of approximately 13.5 feet. Abatement methods should be in accordance with ASME/ANSI B56.6-1992, Safety Standard for Rough Terrain Forklift Trucks. Note: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is located at 345 East 47th Street, New York, N.Y., 10017.
