exposed to crushing injuries from overturning forklift trucks due to the
fact that operator
restraint systems (seat belts) provided on forklift trucks were not
required to be used, as required
by ANSI/ASME B56.1-1993.

required to wear the
provided seat belt.
Abatement Note:  Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable
abatement method to
correct this hazard is to require and effectively enforce the use of
operator restraint systems
while operating forklift trucks provided with them.
