with an enclosure at the following locations of at lest seven feet.

b)Midlevel - gate thirty-four and one-half inch (34 1/2") long, opening
between
posts forty-two (42") inches wide.

this hazard
is:
Where the hoistway is adjacent to areas permitting passage of people
(e.g., passageways,
stairwells, elevator landings), provide an enclosure to a height of not
less than 7 feet above the
floor or stair treads as required by ASME A17.1-1996, Rule 1500.1.
