Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:12/19/01 Location:Plate Developing Area Condition:Employees handling Kodak Positive and Thermal Printing Plate Developer/MX-1710, a corrosive material with a PH Value > 12, were provided with an eyewash kit containing a 10 ounce bottle of eyewash solution. Among others, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to provide an eyewash facility capable of providing 15 minutes of continuous flushing of the eyes.
