North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to unsafe work practice hazards due to being struck by staples and removing safety devices without the use of warning labels (IAW para 4.2.2 ANSI SNT-101-1993):. a)production area-Pneumatic staple guns, Bostitch models T50 & T55, were not equipped with warning labels indicating workpiece contact devices were removed. A feasible means of abatement is to mark the staple guns indicating they have no workpiece contact devices.

North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to point of contact injuries due to an unguarded foot pedal (IAW para 4.3.4.3 and 4.4.4.3. ANSI B11.3- 1982):. a)production area-a foot pedal on a Whirlwind Chopsaw stuck out several inches beyond the protective cover. A feasible means of abatement is to relocate the foot pedal.
