North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to falling objects: a)Weave Room: the supporting poles of the stairway leading to the office area on the east side of the room were not secured to the floor and two of the poles were displaced from the vertical position. Among other methods, one feasible and useful means of abatement would be to straighten the displaced poles and bolt them to the floor.
