Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were working in a self propelled extendible boom aerial lift and were not utilizing an appropriate fall arrest system. U.S. 20 & Winnebago Rd. jobsite - Employee working in a self-propelled extendible boom aerial lift was not utilizing fall protection. Among feasible means of abatement would be to comply with the American National Standards Institute, ANSI A92.5-1992 Standard for Boom-supported Elevating Work Platforms and, Have the employees wear fall arrest anytime that they are in the aerial lift. NO CERTIFICATION REQUIRED FOR THIS ITEM.
