Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that the employees were exposed to the hazard of falling from an elevation while working from a wooden pallet raised on the forks of a rough terrain forklift. a)Munchie P's jobsite - Employee working from an elevated platform that was not secured to the lifting carriage or forks. b)Munchie P's jobsite - Employee working from an elevated platform without fall protection. c)Munchie P's jobsite - The controls of the rough terrain forklift were left unattended while an employee worked from an elevated work platform. Among feasible means of abatement would be to comply with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) standard b56.6a Safety Standard for Rough Terrain Forklift Trucks. NO CERTIFICATION REQUIRED FOR THIS ITEM
