Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that the employees were exposed to the hazard of falling from an elevation while working from a wooden pallet raised on the forks of a forklift truck: a)Lena United Methodist Church jobsite - Employees worked from an elevated platform that was not secured to the lifting carriage or forks. b)Lena United Methodist Church jobsite - Employees worked from an elevated platform without fall protection. Among feasible means of abatement would be to comply with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) standard B56.6a for Rough Terrain Forklift Trucks. CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED FOR THIS ITEM
