Section 5(a)(1) of Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free of recognized hazards that were causing or were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazards of being burned by hot cooking oil during the operation of cleaning the deep fryer. Vitner's - Protective covers were not placed over the top openings on a mechanical catch box that contained hot cooking oil. CERTIFICATION NOT REQUIRED FOR THIS ITEM.
