Section 5a1 of the Occupational safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees working from a rough terrain forklift elevated personnel platform. A feasible means of abatement would be to insure that employees wear appropriate fall protection as required. Among feasible means of abatement would be to comply with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, ASME B56.6-1992 Safety Standard for Rough Terrain Forklifts Southeast Side of the Building - Employees were lifted by a forklift approximately 30 feet above the ground. No body harnesses were worn by the employees. CERTIFICATION REQUIRED FOR THIS ITEM
