Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer failed to provide a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: a. Employees working from the Genie Z34/22 aerial lifts at 44th & Pulaski in Chicago, Illinois, were exposed to fall hazards due to the lack of fall protection as required by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI A92.5 - 1992) Standard for Boom-Supported Elevating Work Platforms.
