Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that:the employees were exposed to a fall hazard and a thrown from hazard of 28 feet to ground. a) On or about June 24, 2002, at the jobsite located at 912 N. Hawley Road, Milwaukee WI, employees working from an extensible boom aerial lift, were exposed to injuries from falls due to the lack of personal fall protection devices as required by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI A92.5-1992) Standard for Boom-Supported Elevated Work Platforms. Among feasible means of abatement would be to comply with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI A92.5-1992, standard for Boom-Supported Elevating Work Platforms and have employees wear personal fall arrest equipment anytime they are elevated in a Boom-Supported Elevating Work Platform. No certification required. Violation Abated.on
