ORS654.010: The employer did not furnish a place of employment which was safe and healthful for employees, and did not do every other thing reasonably necessary to protect the life, safety, and health of the employees: (a) A Country Boy Meats Inc employee was exposed to injury (electrical shock) while stunning hogs in the hog knocking/stunning room. Adequate engineering controls were not instituted to contain the hog in a chute (knock box) or other containment device that meets the industry standard.
