Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: (a)Worksite at 9000 NE Flintlock Road, Kansas City, Missouri. Employees were exposed to a potential impalement hazard in that the lightning rods/electrodes did not have covers on them or bent over in such a way as to prevent an impalement or puncture wound. Abatement certification is required for this item-use CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET for this purpose.
