North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: (Ref. American National Standard (ANSI) B20.1-1976 para 5.09.2.3 a)facility, outside marination room - hit by falling object: overhead conveyor, 12 feet above the floor, was not provided with adequate netting or shields. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to install proper netting to extend above the side rails or under the conveyor.
