North Carolina General Statue 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to point of contact injuries due to missing safety pins on the lifts (IAW para 7.1.2 ANSI/ALI B153.1-1990):. a)shop bay #1-a Rotary drive over lift, model #AB 1228A, was bent and missing it's right safety pin. b)shop bay #2-a Rotary drive over lift, model #AB 1228A, was missing a safety pin on left side of lift. A feasible means of abatement is to replace the lift and safety pins.
