Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employmnent and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: SW Corner of N. Carroll Avenue & 4400 Victor St., Dallas, Texas 75246. a)At least one employee, who was directing traffic with a flag, was exposed to moving traffic while standing in an open lane. b)Due to the lack of channelizing devices in the transition and termination area of the work zone, employees, who were working in the south bound lane of N. Carroll Avenue, were exposed to the hazard of being struck-by a motor vehicle. c)Due to the lack of channelizing devices at 4400 Block of Victor St., employees, who were working on the roadway, were exposed to the hazard of being struck-by a motor vehicle.
