Section 5(a)1 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to falls and entrapment. On or about 08/14/02 employees working in the trusses of the north building were exposed to the hazards of falls of up to 20 feet and entrapment from falling trusses due to not adequately bracing the trusses. AMONG, OTHER METHODS ,ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE METHOD IS TO INSTALL PROPER BRACING BEFORE REMOVING OTHER BRACING. PLEASE NOTE: CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION OF ABATEMENT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.
