Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At the "Hospital Universitario Ramon Ruiz Arnau", Medicina de Residentes
area,
employees performed nursing duties, among others.  The walls were observed
wet and
spoted, in the corridors were wastebaskets to contain the roof drops,
conditions that
promotes the proliferation of bacteries and fungus.
Hazard:  Respiratory and skin diseases.
Among other correction method, one feasible and acceptable to correct this
hazard is
repair the structure.
En el Hospital Universitario Ramon Ruiz Arnau, area Medicina de
Residentes, empleados
realizaban tareas de enfermeria, entre otras.  Las paredes fueron
observadas humedas y
manchadas, en los pasillos habian safacones para contener las goteras del
techo,
condiciones que promueven la proliferacion de bacterias y hongos.
Riesgo:  Enfermedades respiratorias y de la piel.
Entre otros metodos de correccion, uno factible y aceptable para corregir
este riesgo es
reparar la estructura.
