Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:

El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At the Rio Piedras Automotive Conservation Workshop, the employer did not
trained the
employees about the basic concepts of ALTEC hydraulic systems such as
operation,
installation and tests for this systems.  While a employee was going to
test the hydraulic
cylinder after the installation, fell of approximately 25 feets height.
One feasible and acceptable method of abatement this hazard would be to
train the
employees about basic concepts of the ALTEC hydraulic systems such as
operation,
installation and tests for this systems.
Hazard: Falls.
En el Taller de Conservacion Automotriz Rio Piedras, el patrono no
adiestro a sus
empleados sobre los conceptos basicos de los sistemas hidraulicos ALTEC
tales como
funcionamiento, instalacion y pruebas de estos sistemas. Mientras un
empleado se
disponia a probar el equipo, luego de haber instalado el cilindro
hidraulico, cayo de una
altura de aproximadamente de 25 pies.
Entre otros metodos de correccion un metodo factible y aceptable para
corregir este
riesgo es adiestrar a los empleados sobre los conceptos basicos de los
sistemas
hidraulicos ALTEC, tales como funcionamiento, instalacion y pruebas de
estos sistemas.
