Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:

El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At the "Hospital Universitario de Adultos" in the neurointensive unit; the
employees
were performing the following works: attending patients in your respective
beds,
answering the phone, preparing reports, among others. There was evidence
of water
spots on the acoustic panels due to water leaks throught the ceiling.
Hazard: Slips and falls.
Among other correction methods, one feasible and acceptable to correct
this
hazard is
repair the ceiling.
En la unidad de neurointensivo del Hospital Universitario de Adultos; los
empleados
estaban realizando los siguientes trabajos: atendiendo pacientes en sus
respectivas camas,
atendiendo el telefono, preparando reportes, entre otros. Existia
evidencia de manchas
de agua en los paneles acusticos debido a las filtraciones de agua a
traves del techo.
Riesgo: Resbalones y caidas.
Entre otros metodos, uno factible y aceptable para corregir este riesgo es
reparar el
techo.r
