At the Carnegie Library, there were observed two places of the structure
that were
damages and in risk of colapse. The employees were observed finding and
accommodating books in the library.
a.At the library frontal facade, it was observed a peace of wood from the
structure
in bad state. It was at approximately 40' heigth.
b.At the library stairs it was observed a peace of plaster coming apart of
the beam.
Hazard: Hit by concrete or wood pieces.
Among other correction method, a feasible and acceptable method to correct
this hazard
is to repair the strutural damages of the building.
En la libreria Carnegie, se observaron dos lugares de la estructura los
cuales se
encontraban en mal estado y en riesgo de colapsar. Los empleados
realizaban trabajos
de buscar y acomodar libros en la biblioteca.
a.En la fachada frontal de la estructura, se observo que un pedazo de
madera
proveniente del plafon de la estructura se encontraba en mal estado. Este
estaba
a aproximadamente 40' de altura.
b.En las escaleras de la libreria se observo que el empanetado de una viga
se estaba
separando de la misma.
Riesgo: Golpeados por pedazos de madera o concreto.
Entre otros metodos de correccion, un metodo factible y aceptable para
corregir este
problema es reparar los danos estructurales del edificio.ales

At the Carnegie Library Second floor, there were observed water spot on
the struture
ceiling due to the air conditioner condensation. The ceiling was starting
to collapse due
to the weigth imparted by the water. The employees were accommodating and
finding
books.
Hazard: Hit by ceiling pieces or slips due to water accumulation.
Among other correction method, a feasible and acceptable method to correct
this hazard
is fix the air conditioner condensations from the air ducts and from the
machine.
En el segundo piso de la Biblioteca Carnegie, se observaron manchas de
agua en el techo
de la estructura debido a la condensacion proveniente del acondicionador
de aire. El
techo estaba empezando a colapzar debido al peso que el agua le impartia
al mismo. Los
empleados acomodaban y buscaban libros.
Riesgo: Golpeados por pedazos de plafon o resbalones debido a la
acumulacion de agua.
Entre otros metodos de correccion, un metodo factible y aceptable para
corregir este
problema es corregir las filtraciones provenientes de los ductos de aire y
la maquinaria.s

En las puertas de entrada y salida de la biblioteca Carnegie, estas fueron
observadas sin
los mangos. Los empleados tenian que empujar las mismas para meter las
manos entre
media de estas para poderlas abrir. Los empleados estaban acomodando y
buscando
libros.
Riesgo: Pillado por las puertas.
Entre otros metodos de correccion, un metodo factible y aceptable para
corregir
este
problema es arreglar los mangos de las puertas.

En el parking de la biblioteca Carnegie, este no tenia iluminacion. Los
empleados
cruzaban por el mismo para llegar a sus carros luego de terminar sus
turnos de trabajo
durante los turnos nocturnos.
Hazard: Caidas debido a la falta de iluminacion.

corregir este
