Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At the Pepsi-Cola Puerto Rico Distributing, LLC; warehose at Villa Prades,
made of
structural steel and aluminum, the employees performed works, such as:
general
warehuose maintenance, stock preparation, forklift operation, loading and
unloading of
trucks, among other works.  Most of the air extractors in the warehouse
were
not
working, not permitting adecuate air circulation throughout the warehouse
and causing
the air temperature in the work area to reach up to 95 F.
Hazard: Heat exposure.
Among other correction methods, one feasible method would be, to repair
and install air
extractors and fans.
En el almacen, de acero estructural y aluminio en Villa Prades, de
Pepsi-Cola Puerto
Rico Distributing, LLC'; los empleados de almacen se desempenaban en
trabajos como,
recogido del almacen, preparacion de cargas, manejo de montacargas, carga
y descarga
de camiones, entre otros trabajos.  La mayoria de los extractores de aire
del almacen
estaban averiados impidiendo una circulacion adecuada de aire y causando
que la
temperatura de aire dentro del almacen llegara hasta 95 F.
Riesgo: Exposicion a calor.
Entre otros metodos de correccion, uno factible y aceptable para corregir
este riesgo seria
reparar e instalar extractores de aire y abanicos.es
