1)One side of the alignment lift at the center bay was missing a safety
locking mechanism
on one side to prevent the lift from dropping exposing mechanics to
serious foot or other
bodily injuries. The consensus standard for Automotive Lifts is Ansi
B153.1.
2)Lift #1 did not have a safety locking mechanism exposing employees to
serious foot or
other bodily injuries. The consensus standard for Automotive Lifts is Ansi
B153.1.
3)Lift #3 had a sealing leak exposing employees to serious foot or other
bodily injuries.
The consensus standard for Automotive Lifts is Ansi B153.1.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct these hazards
is to replace the lifts or to repair the damaged lifts.
