Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:On or about 12/29/02 Location:Battery Charging Area in Warehouse Condition:An eyewash kit consisting of four bottles of flushing solution was provided where employees chardge electric foklift batteries, and added water to them as needed. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to provide an eyewash facility capable of provideing 15 minutes of continuous flushing of the eyes.
