31-372-101 Section 31-370(a) of the Connecticut Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees who are exposed to the hazard of riding on the rear of refuse collection vehicles: Location: A)Route 161. 1)The employer whose employees ride on the rear of refuse collection vehicles, did not ensure that employees did not ride on the rear riding steps when the vehicle exceeded 10 miles per hour and when the distance traveled between stops exceeded 2 tenths of a mile.
