31-372-101 Section 31-370(a) of the Connecticut Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard created by using a modified tractor attachment without manufacturer's approval. Location: (A)Main Street Road Crew (1)The employer whose employees are lifted in the man basket did not ensure the safety of the modification of the tractor by obtaining approval from the manufacturer. Feasible methods of abatement: Obtain manufacturer approval for design modification or remove side arm attachment with man basket.
