31-372-101 Section 31-370(a) of the Connecticut Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees who were exposed to the hazard of being struck by unsecured equipment at the end of a pressurized hose line: Location: A)Cedar Lake. 1)The employer whose employees use fire fighting equipment (8297 Stinger Portable Monitor) did not ensure that the unit was anchored during use according to specific written manufacturer's instructions. Feasible Methods of Abatement: *Train employees on the manufacturer's instructions for the proper use/securing of the equipment while equipment is in use and ensure employees follow them.w
