Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employmnent and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to laceration, fracture and amputation: a) Coating Department- The 517 Dacromate load conveyor was not equipped with an emergency stop button as prescribed by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, ASME B20-1- 2000,Section 5.11.1 paragraph (c)(1) and (c)(2).Employees were exposed to the hazards of lacerations and amputations. No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
