Section 88.4 - Code of Iowa (1999) 88.4: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to entanglement of the dump rope: (a)At the Courthouse - Employees using the lawn sweeper are holding the dump rope as they drive the mower. This could result in the employee being cut by the rope should it become tangled with the drive wheels of the mower. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct the hazard is to mount the rope in a fashion such that it won't catch.
