What this inspection record means

OSHA opens inspections for many reasons — routine scheduling under a national or local emphasis program, an employee complaint or referral, or a follow-up after a reported injury. Opening or conducting an inspection is not itself an allegation or a finding that this employer broke any rule; any findings appear as the citations listed below, and citations can be contested, reduced, or withdrawn.

North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and
Health Act of North
Carolina: The employer did not furnish each of his employees conditions of
employment and
a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or
likely to cause
death or serious physical harm to employees in that every building,
structure, or platform
was not arranged and maintained level, stable, and free from the potential
for slipping,
sliding, and/or shifting on its foundation, frame, and/or supports with
the potential for
impact or entrapment:
a)site - employees were exposed to a 12' x 60' trailer being used for
equipment
storage and as an employee break room which was not level and stable, but
was leaning to one side on its frame with a cinder block support that was
crumbling underneath.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement to correct this
hazard

support
with an
adequate and appropriate support mechanism.
