Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: At the Machine Shop in DTOP in Manati, there were employees performing vehicle reparation and storing tasks. The machine shop roof was deteriorated and collapsing. The warehouse is made of wood and it is deteriorated in its footings, storage and walkways areas. Both areas represent a very unsafe condition for employees. Among Other Methods, One Feasible and Acceptable Abatement Method to correct is: Fix the Machine shop roof with new materials or better one like a concrete roof and rebuild the warehouse with new wood or better materials. En el Taller de Mecanica en DTOP en Manati, habia empleados realizando tareas de reparacion de vehiculos y de almacenaje. El techo del taller estaba deteriorado y colapsando. El almacen esta hecho de madera y esta deteriorado en sus areas de fundamentos, almacenaje y anden. Ambas areas representan unas condiciones inseguras para los empleados. Entre otros metodos de correccion, un metodo viable y aceptable de correccion es: Arreglar el techo del taller con materiales nuevos o mejores como un techo de concreto. Reconstruir el almacen con madera nueva o mejores materiales.
