Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: (a) Bay 1, South End - The handrails of a mobile ladder stand was damaged and not removed from service as prescribed by the American National Standards for Mobile Ladder Stands, ANSI A14.7-2000, section 6.3, that units that are damaged or weakened from any cause shall not be used until repairs are completed. No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item. (b) Plate Saw Area, East End - The frame and base of a Berg mobile ladder stand was damaged and not removed from service as prescribed by the American National Standards for Mobile Ladder Stands, ANSI A14.7-2000, section 6.3, that units that are damaged or weakened from any cause shall not be used until repairs are completed. No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
