ySection 5 (a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to being struck by, caught in between and or falling from a collapsing prefabricated wood roof truss system in that the trusses were not properly braced to prevent their collapse. a) Lot 81, Destination Drive, Bayside Development, Fenwick Island, DE 19944. The trusses collapsed while under going construction when the workers failed to properly brace the trusses (bracing was not connected with sufficient amount of nails) and a slight gust upset one of the trusses. On or about 06/20/05 Among others, one feasible and acceptable abatement to correct this hazards is to develop a roof truss erection plan in accordance to the design and installation recommendations for the temporary bracing of roof trusses of the BCSI-B2 "Summary Sheet, Commentary and Recommendations for Truss Installation and Temporary Bracing issued by the Truss Plate Institute.
