recognized hazards
that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that
employees were exposed to:
(a) Tool Room - the Do All vertical bandsaw, Serial Number 234-66513, was
not equipped
with a magnetic restart or similar device as prescribed by the American
National Standards
for Metal Cutting Saws, ANSI B11.10-1990 , section 5.2.3.4 that in the
event of an
interruption in the electrical supply, would prevent the saw from
restarting automatically
when power is restored.  One feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this
hazard is to install a magnetic restart control device.
Abatement certification only is required for this item in accordance with
the
requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
