Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards
that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that
employees were exposed to:
(a)Construction site: The hazard of falling approximately 16 feet to the
ground below
while working from a metal platform raised by a Sky Trak, all terrain
forklift at the
construction site on Silvertip Road in Missoula, MT.
Among other methods. one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazard
while using an all terrain forklift for lifting personnel is to follow the
requirements set forth
in the ASME B56.6-1992 and ASME B56.6a-1994.
in that
employees were exposed to:
