General-duty citation text
Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational safety and Health Act of 1970: the employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: a. On or about June 5, 2003, at the above mentioned job site , employees working from an extensible boom aerial lift approximately (30') feet above ground were exposed to injuries from falls due to the lack of fall protection. Among feasible means of abatement would be to comply with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) A92.5-1992, Standard for Boom Supported Elevated Work Platforms and have employees wear fall arrest equipment anytime that they are in the aerial lifts.
