North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety
and Health Act of North Carolina:  The employer did not furnish
employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or
serious physical harm to employees:
a)jobsite, employees were standing inside bucket
of Caterpillar model 257 skid steer loader and
being transported around jobsite, employees
were exposed to the hazard of falling out of
the bucket and being ran over or struck by the
machine.
NOTE:  Among other methods, on feasible and acceptable method to
abate this hazard is to:
1-Develop policies and procedures prohibiting
employees to ride on the skid steer loaders.
2-Comply with operator's manual and manufacturer's
recommendations prohibiting riders on the skid steer
loaders.
