SCRR 71-112A: Failed to furnish a place of employment which is free of
recognized hazards
which may cause death or serious physical harm to his employees and comply
with this
regulation and other occupational safety and health rules and regulations
promulgated under
Chapter 15 of Title 41, Code of Laws, State of South Carolina, 1976, as
amended, as
follows:
A.  Employer knew or should have known that employees working near
commercial
sanitation truck, Number 22, with SC License Tag #MG35622, which had an
inoperable
back-up alarm were exposed to the hazard of being struck by the truck when
it is operated in
reverse gear.  A feasible and useful means of abatement, among others, is
to repair back-up
alarm on the commercial sanitation truck, Number 22, located at the
maintenance shop.
B.  Employer knew or should have known that employees working near

sanitation truck, Number 5, with SC License Tag #MG38642, which had an
inoperable back-
up alarm were exposed to the hazard of being struck by the truck when it
is operated in
reverse gear.  A feasible and useful means of abatement, among others, is
to repair back-up
alarm on the commercial sanitation truck, Number 5, located at the
maintenance shop.
