Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees
were exposed to:
Employees were exposed to struck by hazards due to the improper handling
of wood
trusses.
Among other methods, feasible and acceptable abatement methods to correct
this hazard would
be to follow the truss handling recommendations by the Wood Truss Council
of America, Inc.
and the Truss Plate Institute.  These procedures include, but aren't
limited to:
1. Do not lift single trusses with spans greater than 30' by the peak.
2. Use a tag line.
